Welcome to GATR Hash House Harriers
Make your life more interesting-HASH!
Hashing clubs can be found worldwide, and some people call them a drinking club with a running problem. Come to the next GATR Hash and run (or walk) with us in the pursuit of beer, fun, and some fitness. All you have to do is show up. The first hash is free and ALL are welcome!
What to expect:
Someone from our group, the "hare", lays down a trail of Hash Marks for the "pack" to follow. There are stops along the way to keep the group together, at least one of which has water and beer. Trails are usually in the 2-4 mile range running streets, forest, fields, streams, swamps and anything that gets in the way. Afterwards we have beer and a bit of traditional silliness. Just show up with a sense of humor and everything should be fine.
We usually post our hash calendar on this website, but it doesn't hurt to join the GATR email list using the form on the left.

Just thought we should let people know about this. It can be distributed to virgins to make us seem more "legit."

As per our last mismanagement meeting, the hash has moved from every friday to the first and third fridays of the month. These are the SCHEDULED hashes though. So, if you want to lay a trail on a Wednesday (hint hint) or any other day, it's your time to step up to the plate and get that info out. Everything else is pretty much the same. Bring some virgins if you can.

Check the calendar for trail info for tomorrow, you hookers. Also, from the group...

| The bar is a little off the road, so you'll know you're at the right area if you see Sonny's BBQ. Be prepared for shiggy about 3.69 - no dry bag needed, but definitely bring a flashlight! |

Yeah wankers,
Prelube for the UF vs. Citadel game (Vegas has the Gators winning by 55 currently). Trail goes down in 2.5 hours. Starting at the parking garage at Norman field, we'll be hared by Cloud Squirrel Pee Pants and Just Allan. Shiggy is about a 2. I guess it's getting too cold outside to get wet. See; you all there. |

I think I'm going to start being a big more interactive here. In case you haven't read the calendar, our friend Sink Into My Stirrups will be haring the trail. Shit goes down at 7:00pm/1900 at the Grandy's parking lot on the corner of 34th and University. Shiggy is a mild 2.69 and perhaps someone can talk a bit of trash on here afterwards. on on you wankers

Road Trip for 45 million Year old beer?
http://www.fossilfuelsbrewingco.com/
Pint glasses full of Fossil Fuels Beer are raising eyebrows around
northern California. This could be due to the fact that the unique
ingredient for the line of Fossil Fuels beer is a yeast strain dating
back to the Eocene Epoch, which is about 45 million years ago. A team
of scientists, Dr. Raul Cano (Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA) and
Lewis "Chip" Lambert (Fremont, CA), are partnering with brew masters
Peter Hackett (Stumptown Brewery, Guerneville, CA), Joe Kelley (Kelley
Bros. Brewing, Manteca, CA) and attorney Scott Bonzell (Oakland, CA) to
produce what is surely one of the most interesting and unique beers of
this or any time. With the green light from beer critics, brewers and
end consumers alike, the team that comprises Fossil Fuels Brewing Co.
is gearing up to share the product with the public in the summer of
2008. |
